A draft business plan for the Wakayama IR has been announced, revealing the full picture. The IR is scheduled to open around the fall of 2027, and in 2030, it is expected that the total number of visitors will be 13 million, the direct employment will be 6,200, and the IR revenue will be 230 billion yen. The IR business will be operated by the newly established Wakayama IR Co., Ltd. Caesars, a major Las Vegas company, will participate in the operation of the casino.

At the same time, public comments will be held from the 9th to the 10th of next month, and after approval by the prefectural assembly, the plan will be submitted to the national government by late April. The plan can be viewed on the prefecture's website. (*refer to the following)
